Who is Going to Pay My Social Security?

I recently saw the results of a study completed by the SAT (college board) regarding the scores of high school students. It was the lowest in 10 years!
The board was quick to defend the lower scores by suggesting the broader scope of student taking the SATs were more first generation potential college students. The board estimates that 1 in 7 will need full assistance in attending college.
The class of 2008 scored an average of 515 out of a possible 800 points on the math section of the college entrance exam, a performance identical to graduating seniors in the previous year. Reading scores had increased with an average of 520. More than 1.5 million students took the test in 2008. Writing scores were lower but not a significant amount.
My concern is very simple, with the emergence of other nations whoa re spending more attention on student education that in the past (China, India and South America) how will our children learn to compete in a world economy?
The question is many ways is simple, where does the world come for an education? The answer is America. It is our open and free economy that is really educating the world. Our export of educated aliens has spread the need and demand for education across the globe.
So who is going to pay for my social security?
Darned if I know….probably deficit funding……but the fact that our country freely shares it’s assets and makes it possible for anyone to attend college is some comfort.
So what about those lower scores? I am in agreement with the College Board, I think they are terrific because they represent a more and diversified student pool…what could be better?
